Let’s Count. I Have Wayyyyy More Shoes Than Glasses In My Closet.

Book Now

Yesterday I was counting how many pair of shoes I own: 36.

I also counted how many pair of glasses I own including sunglasses: 8.

I think a good ratio of shoes to glasses would be 3:1. (Yep, I need 4 more pairs of glasses . . . or I need to get rid of some shoes, yikes!)

The reason why I bring this up is that shoes are very much like glasses. They are functional. The main purpose of shoes are to provide a means by which to walk on a hard surface. The main purpose of glasses are to provide means in which to see clearly.

On the other hand, let’s talk about what they have in common. If you wear ugly shoes or glasses, you’re friends are sure to tell you. Repeatedly. If you wear amazing shoes or glasses, strangers are sure to tell you. Randomly.

So shoes, like glasses  . . . are social, fashionable and utilitarian. You need more than just 1 pair.

I have different pair of shoes for working out, going to work, going sailing, formal events, date night, etc . . . Why so few glasses? Glasses are on your face after all, unlike shoes which are way less noticeable since they’re touching the ground. Think about it.

Glasses on your face. Shoes on your feet. And I can promise you that guys love girls in hot glasses just as much as they love you in cute shoes.

So let’s do a count of your shoes to glasses ratio. What number did you get?

Love and shoes + glasses,
